PIHAMA—OAONUI DR AW

(Fro-m Our Own Correspondent.)

In 1 heavy rainfall the old-time football match between the old-timers of Pilvama and Oaonui was played at the Opunnkc Domain on Wednesday afternoon. Each 'side scored three points, C. Haskell a try for Oaonui and C. Badford kicked a goal for Piha-ina. Despite tlie inclement weather a large number of spectators turned up and enjoyed the 40 minutes’ scramble of the ‘ ‘ attempted come-backs.” To see 1 lie old-timers, some in longs, -some in shorts, some wearing gum-boots or sandshoes, and others with sun-bonnets on, scrambling in the slush, caused the onlookers great amusement.
