IMPRESSIONS OF VISITOR
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 12. On bis return from Sydney by the Makura Mr. C. M. Ollivier, Christchurch, said he noticed two very interesting things during a brief stay in Australia. . , The first was the decision of the New South Wale® Government tliat- the Government insurance offj.oe was to abandon all business outside Government risks, whether fire, accident, or workers’ compensation. The second noteworthy matter was the formation and registration as a company of the Bribery and Secret Commissions League, which was said to have been brought into being to .vage a relentless war on grafters, >asing its hope of effectiveness on propaganda in the first place and later, ernaps, on direct action, by investigation and prosecutions. Mr. Ollivier said he observed a great mproveniout in general business conditions since bis last visit eight months ago.
