TE ROTI MAN MISSING.
SEARCH PARTIES OUT. NO TRACE YET. \ The search for James B. H. Aitken, son of the railway porter at Te Roti, was continued without success all day yesterday and last night, over 50 persons, wet through by the rain and the soaking fern', scouring the country between Norm anby and Eltham. No trace of the young fellow has been found, although all his known haunts have been visited. ~ The missing young man, who, bv the way, is 24 years of age, left' his parents’ home at about 9 a.m. on Sunday .without stating - where he * was going. No one saw him leave or saw him later than that hour, and after he had left it was found that an old pea rifle , was also missing. Consequently that evening some concern was felt for ms safety, and a search narty was organised. Constables Pidgeon, of Normanby, and Townsend, of Eltham,- took charge, and operations were continued until l. o clock next morning, a numP°y s i n camp under the Rev Bush K/mg joining in. At daybreak the search was continued, the banks of the flooded Wamgongoro river receiving a close scrutiny. Up till 9 o’clock to-day, however, no trace of the missing man had been reported:
