TENNIS
TARANAKI TOURNAMENT. It is confidently expected that there will be a lot of capital play at the tournament which will open on January 6. It was expected that a number of prominent Auckland and Wellington players would be present, ancl now advice has been received that Griffith, Bartleet, Black, Eotheringham (Auckland), Smythe, J. P. Parker and Young (Wellington) will be competing. This in addition to all leading players will ensure many keen contests.
