ARRIVAL TO-DAY. WELLINGTON’S WELCOME. The new Governor-General of New i a -!?r • - r Charles Fergusson) is due at Wellington this morning. According to the latest information, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Ruahine, on which.' Sir Charles is a passenger, will arrive in the stream from England, via Panama, not later than 7 a.m. Should .that be the case, His Excellency will land at the Wharf a,t 9.30 a.m., when he will be received' by the members of the Harbour Board and City Council. The times of arrival a.nd landing, however, are dependent on tlie weather. The Mayor of Wellington and City Council are to unofficially . welcome the new Governor-General at 10 a.m. There are only three in the family on board the Ruahine, viz., Sir Charles Fergusson, Lady Alice Fergusson, and Miss Fergusson. They are accompanied by Mr G. J. Little, private secretary, and Captain Vernon '/'9 II^ V 0 (of the Grenadier Guards), A.D.G.
