STRIKE, EFFECTS
BROKERS ALARMED
BY CABLE PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received Nov. 24, 2 p.m. T MELBOURNE, Nov 24 \\ 00l brokers and buyers are alarmed nt tiiß prospect of valuable cargoes bemg held up at will by wharf labourers. Ihey say that if the present pelicv continues the result will be a serious falling off at the wool sales. Brokers state that there is a record clip, and prices are higher than ever, but if there is any prospect of wool being held up for an indefinite time after” it is bought buyers may refuse to operate, as the delay will mean a heavy loss of interest, and also that the wool will not reach the markets in time for the senes of sales for which it is bought.
