AT WOOL SALES,

(by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Nov. 17. The first wool sale of the Dominion series was inaugurated with phenomenal prices, an unusually large bench bf buyers, representing Bradford and America, keenly competing in crossbreds and Romneys. Prices for these were from 24d to 28d per pound. An exceptional lot of halfbreds brought 35]d. The prices were fully ICO per cent, above those of last 4nd 4d to 5d over the sales of March la jit. They were much in excess of the London October sales parity. , There was the. keenest competition for pieces and bellies, and even necks brought up to 27d. The sale is proceeding at -white heat.
