RAILWAY CROSSING ACCIDENT.

MOTORIST KILLED. THE WAIPUKU FATALITY. An inquest into the death of Mr. L. S. Hart, a builder and farmer, of Wharehuia, who died from injuries received ill a level crossing accident at Rutland Road, near Waipuku, on Friday night, was opened at New Plymouth on Saturday morning before the district coroner (Mr. A. M. Mowletn, S.M.) says the News. Formal evidence of identification was given and the inquiry, was adjourned until next Friday. The late Mr. Hart was well known in the Wharehuia district, where he took a keen interest in local affairs. He was chairman of the Social Club, which erected a fine hall at Wharehuia. He lived for a number of years at Okato, where he followed his occupation of a builder, and later moved to Wharehuia, where he took up farming pursuits in addition to building. He leaves a Avidoiv and family of three, tivo boys and a girl, Avhose ages are 19, 18 and 17 respectively, and for them much sympathy will he felt, in their bereaA^ement.
