Members of the comm’jtee visiting the farm will advise maniger which paddock is to be shut up for - hay. The report was adopted. The .chairman reported in connectiin with preliminary application to tie Stratford Borough Council re’ installing water supply. The matter was discussed,. and it was resolved that installation of water supply he authorised and further action in connection with the matter be left in the' hands of the chairman (Mr J. W. Deem), Messrs Richards and Were. The chairman renorted that the commission took evidence in Stratford on the 11th inst. in connection with deteriorated hill country. The chairman expressed the opinion that a suitable resolution from this society in connection with the matter of topdressing would probably assist the committee in framing their report. It was lesolved that the following resolution be forwarded: That the Committee of Enquiry into deteriorated hill country he advised that in the oninion of this committee the top-dressing with, fertilisers of the better areas offers the best, prospects of restoring profitable fertility.
Accounts amounting to £sl 8s 9d were passed for payment, and the meeting then rose.
