SCHOONER’S LONG VOYAGE.
DRIVEN BACK BY STORMS. BY CABLE—PRES 3 ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT SYDNEY, Oct. 30. The schooner Qathkit, overdue from Hobart, ivas sighted off Sydney this morning, and was later towed into port after a protracted voyage of 54 days. As the result of storms she Was driven back into Bass Straits three times. Subsequently she sprang a leak, but her cargo of, timber prevented serious consequences, though the crew were kept hard at work at the pumps i*. face of continued rough weather and high seas. [The Cathkit was reported to be given up for lost sei r eral days ago.]
