• T-* PROSPECTING RIGHTS. (By Telegraph.—Special to the Star.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 31. Special provision is made in the Land Claims Adjustment Bill for prospecting and mining for minerals, including petroleum and other mineral oils on any lands vested in the Native Trustee under the West Coast Settlement Reserves Act and Native Trustee Act. ' Royalties shall be charged and notice of issue of a license must be given to the lessees, who may resort to arbitration if the terms are considered unfair, though no payment of royalty to the lessee will be accepted as a reason for objection.
