OVER SON’S DOWNFALL. ECHO OF LOEB CASE. 1 MILLIONAIRE’S DEATH. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. (Received Oct. 29, 10.15 a.m.) NEW YORK, Oct. 27. A telegram from Chicago states that Albert Loeb, father of the youthful murderer cabled on May 31, who had been brooding over his son’s fate, died at his residence there. Loeb’a health had been steadily declining, and his feelings have long been torn between grief for his own and compassion for the victim. The penalty induced persistent melancholia, from -which he was unable to recover. [Two youths, Leopold and\Loeb, sons of millionaires, deliberately' murdered and mutilated the son of another millionaire.]
