FROZEN MEAT.
SHIPPING RATES FINED. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION • WELLINGTON, Oct. 16. The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board has been negotiating for some considerable time with the shipping companies for the overseas carriage of frozen meat, and as a result a threeyear contract has been arranged as from November 1, 1924. The rates agreed upon are as follows : Beef, Jd per lb; mutton, 1 3-32 d per lb; lamb (over 421 b), 1 3-32 d per lb; lamb. 1 9-32 d per lb: boneless beef, i-d per lb; pork, |d .per lb ; veal, Jd per lb; frozen sundries, jjd per lb; legs, shoulders, pieces, mutton and lamb. 1-Jd per lh; bacon in crates (net weight), Id per lb; rabbits in crates (per 40 cubic feet), 90s. All these rates are net.
