Received Oct. 1, 11 a.m LONDON, Sept; 30. The steamer Trecarrel reports that after 140 tons of cargo had been jettisoned an attempt at floating failed. Another attempt will be made next tide. —Reuter.
A cable, message yesterday stated: The steamer Trecarrel, from Port Pine, wirelessed that she is ashore a mile and a half off Cape Juardaufi, but making no water. There is twenty-four feet of water around the ship. ' a
