Sheep.—Small numbers, keen competition and improved values. Organisation Society of NewJZealahd, Ltd., report:— . A.t InglewcOd on Wednesday, the 25th inst., we report a good yarding, but owing to weather conditions prices were lower than previous sales. We quote: Forward cows £2 11s to* £3 15. s ; stores, 25s to £2 7s; good yearling heifers, £2 4s to £2 13s; smaller do., 19s to 32s 6d, Dairy pens: Best dairy heifers, £5 to £6; medium, £3 10s to £4 10s; more backward sorts £2 to £3; dairy cows, £5 5s to. £6 10s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. (Hawera branch) report:— At. E:l.tham on the 24th inst. we had a good yarding. There was a good attendance of buyers and a satisfactory sale resulted. We quote: Fat* cows to £7 7s 6d • stores and boners at late rates; fat ewes, 36s 6d to 37s 9d; good springing heifers £lO to £ls 5s ; medium do. , £5 to £9 15s; good and medium backward sorts. £4 fo £7 10s. On the 25th instant we held our usual fortnightly Hawera sale. -To a big attendance of buyers we again offered a good yarding, particularly of dairy cattle.
