FALSE INCOME TAX RETURNS. (BY TELEORAPyi—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Sent. 26. For furnishing false income' tax returns for 1920, 1921, 1922 and 1923, a butcher named William Joseph Welland -was fined £2OO. Fines were also Imposed on several who failed to send in leturns. Counsel for the Department said it was the intention to make people send in returns.
