HERD. TESTING ASSOCIATION
/the following particulars have been supplied; by- the Dairy Division of the Department of Agriculture concerning the association testing for the season just ended :—'Association average cow, 263 days in milk, 249.61 lbs butterfat; highest herd average, 271 days, in milk, 296'.331bs butter-fat; lowest herd average, 272 days in milk, 202.661bs butter-fat; highest cow average, 296 days in milk, \407.821bs butter-fat; lowest herd average, 240 days in milk, 101.471bs butter-fat. The above figures are for all cows in milk 210 days and over. Only six farmers worked under the association, and the season’s average' of each herd was as follows: 24 cows, 271 days in milk, 296.331bs butter-fat; 31 cows, 264, 283v45; 48 cows, 268. 239:54 ; 26 cows, 247. 230.08'; S cows, 231, 217.64; n cows, 272; 202.66.
