TOWN REDUCED TO ASHES. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT DELHI, Sept. 13. As the outcome of the Hindu and Mohammedan rioting, Kohat has been largely reduced to ashes. • Talcing advantage of the position neighbouring tribesmen, attracted by the prospects of loot, entered and set fire to the toAvn. Troops assisting the civil authorities repeatedly fired upon the rioters and incendiaries, but the rapid spread of the flames negatived the efforts to check the conflagration.
