Society’s members are 1 having are that the production - of “Our .Miss Gibbs” is assured of success, and the public are looking forward to the three; performances - commencing Wednesday "of next week. The cast of characters has been carefully made, and the chorus as well as the principals have reached a high standard in singing and acting! “Our Miss Gibbs” is full of happy incidents, while the popular lilts in the music add to its attractiveness. The following is the cast: Hon. Hnghie Pierrepont (an amateur criminal)/'Mr Fred Smith; the Earl of St. Ives 1 (Lord Eynsford’s father), Mr H. B. Burdekin; Slithers ('a professional cook), Mr Ralph Vivian ; Mr Toplady (manager - at Garrod’s)/ Mr Maurice Osborne; Mr Beavis (the Earl’s family solicitor), Mr G. E. Laidlaw; Lord Eynsfofd (in love with Mary), Mr Fred Low; a taxi cabby. Mr W. T. Johnson; messenger boy. Master Gordon Hawkins; Mr Amalfy (Director-General of the Exhibition), Mr L. Carroll; Timothy Gibbs (Mary’s Yorkshire cousin), Mr Ivineton Parkes; Lady Elisabeth Thanet (engaged to Lni’d Eynsford), Mrs H. L. McGregor; Mitlam Jeanne (modiste at Garrod’s), Mrs G. Tocker; the Duchess of Minster (Lady Thanet’s mother), Mrs M. J• Goodson; Mrs Farquhar (an impecunious woman of fashion), Miss Maisie Ekdahl; telephone girl, Miss Muriel Bailey; Lady Thanet’s bridesmaids, Misses Ada Whyte, K. Goodson, E. Goodson, A. Johnstone, A Hooper,-Mrs F. G. Coleman; Marv Gibbs (Our Miss Gibbs), Miss D. Machin; the dudes. Messrs G. Harvey, M. Thomas, C. J. McFadyen, P. Hooker, L. Barton, J. Glasson; the maniquins, Misses A. Howard, E. Campbell, E. Murdoch. S. Pedder. The producer is Mr T. E. Foster, late of J. C. Williamsons. Ltd., and the musical director Mr F. H. Ollerenshaw. The hooking office opens at Everybody’s Sweet Shop on Friday morning at 9 o’clock.
