RICHEST SEAM IN ENGLAND. BY OABL1 —PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, Sep-E 8. Engineers have discovered a new coal field south-east of the Yorkshire sinking. They struck a continuation of the famous Barnsley seam, the richest in England, eight miles eastward of the supposed limit. The new seam is five feet thick. It is believed that it extends eastwards to Goole and then 65 miles under the North Sea. It is estimated to comprise 23,000,000,000 tons of coal, sufficient for four hundred years.
