ELECTRIC POWER.

CONFERENCE OF BOARDS. (BY TJSLEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, July 31. Important matters will be discussed at the annual conference of the Electric Power Boards Association of New Zealand next week. One of the most important is with reference to the agreement between the Minister for Public Works and the power boards in regard to supply from the Government. A remit from the Manawatu-Oroua hoard asks that the conference discuss the clauses of agreement between the Minister and the boards taking power from Mangahao. It is stated that the Government entered into an agreement, to supply power to a large firm, and there may lie some opposition to the Government supplying large commercial or business undertakings with power at the same rate as it is being supplied to power boards.
