LOWGARTH COAIPANY. Following is the annual report to be presented to shareholders of the Lowgarth Dairy Company at the meeting on August 14 at Lowgarth: During the past season production has been well maintained, and the payment to suppliers, though not on tlie high level of 1922-23, cannot he considered unsatisfactory. A consignment policy has been consistently followed, and the final returns will not he to hafid for some' weeks.' Unsold consignments have been valued on a safe basis. Suppliers have received 16d per lb but-ter-1 at, and on the balance-sheet figures there will be 3d more, making Is 7d. If the present favourable turn of ’ the market continues somewhat more may lie realised. Shareholders will notice that the New Zealand Bacon Company shares no longer figure ,as an asset, having been written off by drawing upon the reserve funds. / The retiring directors are Alessrs E. A. Gray and T. J. Alalone; Mr Gray is eligible, and offers’ himself for re-election. Air J. 11. Thomas’ services as auditor are again available.

Statistics for the past season are: Milk, 10,345,8371 b; average test. 3.94; butter-fat, 407,8951 b; cheese (factory weight), 1,124,7131 b; whey butter, 27,1101 b; creamery butter, 75521 b; milk to lib cheese, 9.011 b; cheese to lib butter-fat, 2.791 b; milk to lib creamery butter, 18.211 b; creamery butter to lli> butter-fat, 1.6591 b; manufacturing per lb butter-fat, 2.64 d; other expenses per 11b butter-fat,. 1.42 d; total expenses to f.0.b., including London exchange, 4.06 d per lb butter-fat.
