RETURNED SOLDIERS’ RESOLUTIONS. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION ) t . DUNEDIN, July 30. At a. special, meeting of returned soldiers, lengthy resolutions were passed expressing the obinion that the intention and spirit- of the D.S.S. Act were to enable a discharged soldier to acquire, a. home, when his particular individual requirements warranted it. The meeting therefore,' urged the Returned Soldiers’ Association to press for the re-opening and continuance of the benefits of the Acts to qualified discharged soldiers, more particularly in the matter of readvances from repayments continually being made under the Act. It was further decided to present a petition 'to the House on this issue.
