SHUNTER DIES FROM INJURIES. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) TIMARU. July 26. Allred Henry Mathews, railway sliuntei, who was run over by a waggon on July 17 and suffered amputation of both legs above the knees, died at the hospital this rooming. He was 23 years of age. ALLEGED THEFT. GrSBORNE, July 25. Two recent arrivals from Auckland, who were charged with thefts from’ boarders at the Royal Hotel to tiie“ex/tent of £B6, were remanded till Wednesday, the police stating that other charges were pending.
