MAN SLAUGHTER CHARG E. (BX TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.I HAMILTON, July 17. At the Magistrate’s Court to-day Joseph Balle, a taxi-driver, was charged with manslaughter. iu connection with the death of a boy named Maurice Ansell on May 6. Evidence was given that the boy was riding a bicycle and suddenly, without warning, swerved, with the result that accused’s car. which was following, crashed into the bicycle, the boy being thrown and killed.

There -was a conflict of opinion as to whether the accused, who accelerated and swerved to the right when he saw the posisbility of an accident, should not have gone to the left and slowed down. There was also a wide difference of opinion regarding the speed of the car.

Accused was committed for trial to the Supreme Court.
