It was stated that at the hearing Wiggins, who is 19 years old, pleaded as an excuse tor failing to attend cli'ill that ho was often away from Auckland, whereas the real reason was that he suffered physical fatigue a s a result of rheumatic fever and cardiac trouble in 1923. Horse-riding did not affect him, but he could not stand still for any length of . time. Wiggins’ health has now improved and he was readv to drill. J. Povnton, S.M., adjourned the ease for a year, the threat of the depi i\ ation of his civil rights being held over the defendant. ~
