r-Cr FROM AUSTRALIAN PAVILION. BY CABLE—PRESS ABBOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received July 15, 12.5 p.m. LONDON, July 14. A pearl valued at £1250 was stolen from the Australian pavilion at Wembley.—Reuter. Details of the a pearl from the Australian pavilion at Wembley show that a girl named Severe at Wollaston opal jewel stall was asked to show a scarf pin to two men. She opened the case and forgot to lock it while attending to the men. When she returned a minute later the pearl was missing. A lady visitor nearby, said she saw a man’take the pearl from the case and did not realise it was theft. Severe, was so upset that she forgot to ask the lady’s name or follow the men. and the crime is without clue.—Aus.N.Z. Cable'Assn.
