VICTORIAN POLITICS.
UNSETTLED SITUATION. BY CABLE —?EEBB ASSOCIATION —COPS BIGHT MELBOURNE,- July 3. The political situation remains unsettled. it is understood that negotiations iure in progress between the Liberals and the Farmers’ Union Party for the formation of a composite ministry. One statement is that the terms whereon the Farmers’ Party and the independent Liberals insist are so strong as to be difficult for the Peacock section to accept, involving, allegedly, a clean sweep of the present ministry j except Messrs Peacock, Gordon and McGregor. The Ministry’s altitude at the meeting of Parliament on Tuesday depends upon the progress of negotiations. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
