Londoners were, afforded the interest, ing spectacle of comparing the types of variuos nations’ lifeboats, which were faily decorated and moored in the' Thames. This demonstration is in con. nection with the international conference on the occasion of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution centenary celebrations. The conference passed a resolution urging all moritime countries not possessing a lifeboat service to organise . one, and favouring the establishment of an international lifeboat organisation on the lines of the Red Cross Society; The resolution will be sent the League of Nations
