GENEROUS OFFER.
NEW HOSPITAL FOR, AVAIPAWA. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DANNEVIRKE, June 11. i The Dannevirke Hospital Board today accepted an offer of £SOOO from the trustees of the Rathbone Estate for the erection upon a. site in Waipawa, approved by the Health Department, of a maternity hospital in accordance with plans and conditions unproved by the Department, the hospital and site to cost not under £4OO, and the balance to lie held in trust as an endowment to assist .in the maintenance of the instition. A condition of the gift was that the Health Department pay a subsidy pound for pound on the £SOOO.
