To-day the weather was very hot, and the cricketers were much affected on returning to the pavilion. At the close of the Victorians' innings Kelly fell in a fit, suffering from heat apoplexy. His condition is low.
Gregory was also taken soillthathis playing in the test match has been interdicted by the doctor. It is likely that Kelly will also be unable to play on Saturday.
New South Wales lost six wickets for 241, Pye 80, M'Kenzie 88, and Gregory 22 being the principal scorers. In the Victorians first innings M'Kibbin took 4 wickets for 109, Noble 1 for 59, Ferris 1 for 48, Pye 2 for 42, and Donnan 1 for IG.

ENGLISHMEN v. BENDIGO

In the match Englishmen v. eighteen of Bendigo, the latter in their first innings are all out for 150. Saravaas (30) was the chief scorer. In the second innings 8 wickets are down for 93, Mckay (29) and Stevens (24) being the highest scorers. England in their first innings, scored 288, of which Mason contributed 128, Storer 47, and Hayward 45. Ranjitsinhji was enjoying a rest.
AUCKLAND V. CANTERBUBY

Tuesday. The interprovincial cricket match Canterbury v. Auckland was resumed to-day. There was a slightly better attendance. Canterbury in their first innings made 182 and Auckland 90. The visitors' second inuings closed for 255, Wigley being top scorer with 73 (a splendid innings), A. E. Ridley 0R. Clarke 61 (not out), Fawke 13, and H. C. Ridley 11. Auckland required 344 to win. The first wicket fell for 3, but G. Mills and W. Stemson made a fine stand, and at the call of time the game stood four wickets for 185 runs.
This day. The cricket match Canterhury v. Auckland concluded to-day, Auckland, resuming batting at 10 o'clock ■with 4 wickets down, and were all disposed of in an hour for 128. Mills (80) was the highest scorer and played a fine innings. Canterbury won by 126 runs. The visitors return home by the Mahinapua.
