TROTTING. THE H.B. CLUB. A meeting of tlie Hawke's Bay Trotting Club was held in Caulton's Hotel, Hastings, on Tuesday evening. The chair was occupied by the President (Mr W. Y. Dennett). It was decided to hold the Autumn Meeting on March 18th, the day following the Autumn Meeting of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club. In addition to the ordinary trotting races it was decided to insert two polo pony races in the programme. It was resolved to plough the training track and put it in order. The questions of keeping bookmakers off the course and of having X'l and 10s totalisator tickets were also discussed.
