*■ A CONFESSION OF THE CRIME. t (Per Press Association.—Copifrii/ht.) Calcutta, Oct. 5. A report from Bombay states that Domedar Chapekar, a Brahmin advovate, has confessed to having murdered Rond and Ayerst, Government plague officials. He also confessed to having tarred the Queen's statue in Bombay. 113 declares that he systematically dogged Rond and killed Ayerst because he witnessed the murder of Rond. The police are searching for an accomplice.
