MATTERS QUIETING ON THE
FRONTIER. {Per Press Association. —t'opijru/ht.) Calcutta, August 22. The latest news from the frontier states that the troubles are quieting, and the Afridis and Orakzais have made no attempt at molesting the British troops in the passes. A column under Colonel Plood has been quartered on the rebellious Swat,is for three days, and now penetrates through the passes to Dosirio. The turbulent Bocrival tribe is dispersing. Constantinople, August 21. The Sabas and Mahumat, two Constantinople newspapers, have been prohibited entrance to India owing to their incendiary character.
