A returned member of the New Sooth Wales Jubilee contingent being asked how the colonials compared with the regulars, sai l the style of marching was new to them but after practice they compared favorably with them at drill. Physically the colonials were a much more powerful b- iy of men, especially the New Zealanders, who, he thought, were the finest lot of troops in England.
