Colombo, August 16
A fire occurred on the Orient steamer Oroya in the Red Sea while en route to Australian ports. There was no panic.
The detachment of Victorian and South Australian troops returning from the Jubilee celebrations rendered good service in maintaining order and suppressing the outbreak.
