HEAVY RAINFALL IX At" ST RaIL A. TWO SCHOONERS ASHORE. HARVEST PROSPECTS IMPROVE (Per I'l'txS Axxorliltl'Dl. ' "/'.•/>'/<////.) Sydney, July 2G. Incessant heavy rains are almost general. The northern rivers are in flood, anil considerable damage has been done to crops. Several small railway washaways are reported. The gale is abating, but the sea is still very rough. The schooners Heroine and Alfred Penning are ashore on the north coast and the Government tug Mikado at Trial Bay. All the crews are safe, but the vessels are* likely to become total wrecks. This day. The weather has cleared up. Six and half inches of ran fell in the city and eight inches in the northern districts. The crop prospects are assured. Brisbane, This day. Splendid rains Lave fallen over a great part of the colony. Adelaide, This day. The recent rain has greatly improved the crops and the outlook is promising. Stock which were sent from d renghted areas are now being returned, the feed being plentiful.
