THE WEST CLIVE HOTEL TOTALLY DESTROYED.

The West Clive Hotel, owned by Messrs Robjohns a"nd Sons, in the occupation of Mrs Norah McKay, licensee, was totally destroyed by fire at 4 o'clock this morning. The following are the insurances:— Building, £I2OO, Standard, of which £250 is re-insured in the South British ; £2-50, New Zealand ; £2OO. Alliance. Furniture—£lso in 1877 Company of Hamburg, and £ooo in the North German. Of the latter amount £275 is re-insured in the Norwich Union.

The origin of the fire is a mystery
