THE JAMESON RAID.
f Per Press Association. —Copyriyht.) London, May 19. At the Transvaal Raid Committee of Inquiry Mr F. Rutherford Harris gave evidence that he told Mr C. Fairfield (then one of the assistant Under-Secretaries of State for the Colonies) that Mr Rhodes desired to have a force of police on the Transvaal border in the event of disturbances on the Rand requiring force.
