The Greek Eastern squadron is bom- | barding Karaburnu, a town on the Gulf of Salonika, and the Westem squadron is bombarding Agira, on the coast of Epirus, opposite the island of Corfu. It is report ad that the successes of the Gre'-ks at Damnsi and Ravene to the southward of Larissa are not confirmed. Later reports show that the fighting was of an undecisive nature. The Greeks, under the Duke of Sparta, repulsed 8000 Turkish cavalry at Mati. disabling -300. Constantinople, April 21, The Sultan is irritated at the obstiI nate defence of Tirnova by the Greeks, j and has de'-ided to replace Edhem Pasha in command by Shazi Osman Pasha. He has also appointed Shaad Eddin, Turkish commander in Crete, to command the troops acting against •Janina, in Albania. The Turkish forces on the frontier are to be reinforced by 50,000 redifs, or second reserves, who are composed of men who have served four years in the regular army and two years in the lir-t reserve. Izzet Bey, degraded for resisting the war, was the Sultan's chamberlain and second secretary. | j
