La Temps, referring to the Salis-bury-Hanotaux interview, expresses itself highly gratified at the resumption of direct relations between France and England. March 29. M. Blowitz, the Paris correspondent of The Times, wires that as a result of the interview between Lord Salisbury and M. Hanotaux the Tunis and Madagascar questions were arranged. It was considered that the position of Siam required cautious treatment. Egyptian affairs were not discussed. The attitude of both statesmen was identical as regards Greece and Turkey.
