The Cabinet has approve the sending of two officers and ■'>() men of the Permanent Artillery to participate in the Queen's record reign celebrations. The cost will be about I'lsOO. While in England the detachment will have barracks and rations free. The men have received special training. The Cabinet has also approved Mr Re-id visiting England. Prior to his leaving early in May the Government will call Parliament together, make a financial statement, ask for three months' supply, ami then prorogue till about the end of August.
