The natives of Mallicollo murdereiT and eat the native servant of a trader named Gana. They enticed Gana into the bush and he escaped a similar fate only with the greatest difficulty. During his absence the natives looted the station and tied the servants to two trees. Outrages are becoming so frequent in the New Hebrides that the settlers are petitioning to have a cruiser constantly stationed there.
