THE LANDOWNERS COMPLAIN ING. ( Per Vn s, Jw Lom »ox, March 18. The Irish members are unable to agree in their attitude with reference lo the financial relations of England antl Ireland, and have abandoned the attempt at united action on the matter. A deputation of Irish landowners complained that the reduction of rents was ruining the smaller landholders and owner-;, whose ouly refuge was the workhouse. Lord Salisbury, replying, said he foretold this condition when the ISHI Act was passed. Ife would consider the request to appoint a committee, although lie <1 id not believe it would be adapted for the purpose.
