[By Telegraph.] (Per Press Association.) Auckland, Dec. 11. Work at the racecourse this morn ing was for the most part of an uninteresting character. Pegasus, who is moving sore, cantered a couple of circuits 011 the plough. Mahaki put in three rounds at a slow gait. St. Paul cantered about a mile and a half by himself, when ho was joined by Pirate,' and the pair came home at a fair pace. Nestor, Haria, and Mantle were each treated to easy tasks. The jumpers Levanter, Ivingswood, and St. Simon each performed useful work, and they all moved well. Day Star and Armilla have been taken to Koliimarama for the purpose of beiug treated to swimming exercise. This day. St Paul galloped over the Cup distance at Ellerslie this morning. Mahaki did long slow work. Daystar and Armilla are at Kohiuiaraimu The ground is so bard that their trainer is afraid to give them much fast work. St Paul is quoted at 3 to the Cup, Mahaki 4 to 1. \ Epaulet 6 to 1.
