[Special to Standard.]
[By Telegraph.]
Fktlding, This Day. The Premier addressed a large meeting here last night. He defended the action of the Government and Legislation since taking office, condemning the previous administration of the Conservatives. He spoke in favor of old age pensions and the Befcfcudum, which Government would tIuJT with next session. The constitution of the Legislative Council required amending to prevent measures being thrown out which had received the almost unanimous support of the Lower House.
A unanimous vote of thanks was splendidly received at both Apiti and Feilding.
