Wingen and Patriot did useful pacing this morning. Newhaven who did a strong half mile, is much easier for the Derby, and 7 to 4 against is offered. The Skipper has been backed for £2OOO in the Melbourne Cup at 100 to 7. Newhaven was backed for two thousand and Broken Hill for one thousand at 100 to 6. Other quotations are—Tire and Chevalier, 100 to 5 ; Dreamland, 100 to 3. Sabretache lias arrived. Eight Honorable and C'remorne have returned to Sydney. Chris, who injured his knee, returns to New Zealand.
