THAT DENIAL FROM THE SECRETARY OF THE K.O.L.

[To the Editor.] Sib,—The letter appearing in your last issue signed by C. Hughes is one of the most remarkable I have ever had the misfortune to read. Its errors and misstatements are extraordinary. If the 1v.0.L. (King of Liars) did his utmost to get as many misstatements into the space occupied by the Recording Secretary he would fail in the attempt. As a matter of fact that gentleman's qualifications and ability for the office of secretary to anything are well known to your readers, consequently any jumbling of minutes is looked upon as inevitable, and therefore his letter requires no contradiction by those who are in the know.—l am <£c., Oxe Who Knows. Hastings, June 19th, 1896.
