No stop-watehes were however required. as they had to Le content with ordinary work. The most important go was that between The and Sparkle over a mile. The son of July had about six lengths the best of it. Otaif ri put in three-quarter pace work on the Hut. Hopeful was restricted to .slow work on the fiat. lJaiigiptinehu and Canard were sent two miles at a good pace. The pair jumped the fences in the stva-ght, and the former had the best of the finish. Martyrdom, Sabruer, and llippoirrit'l' put in good work over two miles, all three finishing strongly. Lorenzo and lirennan pin in slow work for a couple of circuits. T K -• and Direct Veto were associated in a two-mile spin. Midas and Forty Winks were sent a mile and a half at threc-quarter pace. Glengarry and Scrap Iron 11. were sent a fast mile, the former having the best of it all the way. Mars and Dauntless were associated in a two-mile steady go. Capon llouire and Tomoarangi were put over the fences together. The former refused the jump in front of the stand, but his companion took to the kindly. Musketeer was paced over a couple of circuits.
Sheet Lightning and Lotion were given gentle exercise. It is announced that Steel All. the dam of Steel King, is dead.
