THE COMMISSION'S FINDING
THREE COMPS. DISMISSED
[Special to Standabd.]
Wellington, This day. The result of the Government Printing Office Commission has not been made public, but three of the permanent hands -who brought charges of incompetency in regard to management and immorality on the part of the Government Printer have received notice that their services will be dispensed with after Monday nest. Their names are J. Carson, G. McNamara, and C. M. Jenkins. It is understood that the report of the Commissioners exonerates Mr Costall from the more serious charges. The result has been very unfavorably commented upon in the office, and a meeting of all employees will be held this evening. Great sympathy is expressed for the unfortunate compositors, who acted in no spirit of malice, but entirely in the interest of the office. Carson is an old servant of 25 years' standing, and McNamara has been in the employ of jhe Government lor 23 years.
